Two Friends and The Bear

Two Friends and The Bear

Jhon and James were two friends who were crossing forest. Suddenly they hit a huge back
bear. Imagine how terrified they were.

They tried to run but the bear chased them.  Jhon managed to climb up to
a tree , but james
fell to the ground and pretended to be dead.

He knew that a bear will only attack something if is alive.

The bear smelled him all over, while the man tried to hold his breath as best he could, hoping that the animal would not discover the pretence. The bear must have tought that the man really was dead.

Finally the danger was over. Jhon came down from the tree and asked his friend, “Well,
what did the bear whisper into your ears?” the bear said, “That it would be good if you fell from the tree and pretended to be dead with me!”

The two ducks and the fox

The two ducks and the fox

One day, two ducks walked along the road to go to the lake for their swim. In the middle of the road, they met Mr. Fox. He sat under the tree.
“Hello, sister. Where are you going?” asked Mr. Fox.
“Good Morning, Mr. Fox. We are going to lake over there. We want to swim. Would you like to join us?” asked the ducks.
“No, thanks. Do you both come along here every day?” asked Mr. Fox.
“Yes, we always walk here every morning,” said the ducks.
“Delicio….. I..I.. mean nice to see you both,” said Mr. Fox.
The next day, the first duck said, “Are we going to swim today? I bet that Mr. Fox is waiting for us and he has a bad plan.”
“I know. I have a plan for him, too,” said the second duck.
On their way they met Mr. Fox again.
“Hello, sisters. Going to swim again?” asked Mr. Fox.
“Yes, we are. Why don’t you take us to the lake and protect us from bad animals?” said the second duck.
“Of course. It’s my pleasure,” replied Mr. Fox.
“This is an easy way to have a free lunch. I have a big bag with  me now,” though Mr. fox.
Three of them walked to the lake and sang some songs.
“When I say run, let’s run fast together,” said the second duck, “Run!!!”
They ran so fast and jumped into the lake. Mr. fox jumped upon them, but he forgot that he could not swim. So, Mr. fox drowned in the lake. He failed to get his free lunch.

The Crow and the Oyster Tiram

The Crow and the Oyster Tiram

One day, a hungry crow saw an oyster on the beach. He wanted to eat the tasty meat inside the shell, so he tried to open the oyster.

First,he used his beak, but he could not open the shell .Then he hit it with a stone, but shell stayed tightly shut. He even jumped up and down on the oyster, but still he could not open it.

Then, another crafty crow came by. He saw what the first crow was trying to do and said, ”my friend, may I offer you some good advice? I suggest you to pick up the oyster in your beak, fly high into the air and then drop the oyster onto the rocks below. The oyster shell will break open and you will be able to have your meal!”

The hungry crow thought that this was a very good idea. He picked up the oyster with his beak and then he flew as high as he could. When he was sure that he was high enough, he dropped the oysteronto the rocks far below.

The oyster shell broke wide open. However, the crafty crow was waiting behind the rock nearby, and he reached the broken oyster first. He enjoyed a tasty meal while the hungry crow had nothing to eat.

The Man and the Serpent

The Man and the Serpent

Years ago, there was a small village. The people of this village were mainly poor folks who farmed in others' lands or in whatever land each of them had themelves. Among them was a man who was richer than the others. He had more land than the others. He had a loving wife and three sons to look after him.

But misfortune struck one day, when the boy mistakenly trod upon a serpent's tail during one of his adventures. The furious snake hissed and bit on his foot. The boy limped back to his parents. But his helpless family members could do nothing to save the poor boy, for the lethal venom killed him within minutes. However, the boy informed his father about the whereabouts of the snake and how he had been bitten before he took his last breath.

The incensed father took out his axe and hunted down the serpent, who happened to reside in a small hole beside a tree.

Again and again did his axe fall upon the serpent who somehow managed to escape each blow until one powerful stroke cut off part of its tail. Bleeding and crying out of pain, the snake carried its body with great difficulty and slithered into one of the holes between the roots of the huge tree.

"First they trampled my tail. Then they dared to cut it off?" muttered the creature painfully. It vowed revenge against the man.

Thereafter, the snake began to cause losses to the farmer. In a fit of rage, it began to sting several of the Farmer's cattle leading him to suffer a huge loss.

"I had already lost my son, now I have to see my cattle dying. It is best to reconcile with the serpent before it does any more harm to me or any of my family members." the man thought.

With this purpose, the farmer went to the serpent's lair with food and honey and offered him the treats saying,

"You know, we should let bygones be bygones. There was no enmity between us as such. So why don't we forget and forgive each other and be friends?"

"It can't be", replied the snake, "take your gifts away. Neither can you forgive me for the death of your son, nor can I forget the loss of my tail."

Injuries may be forgiven, but not forgotten.

Belling the Cat

Belling the Cat

The mice once scheduled for a meeting to decide on a plan to free themselves from their enemy, the Cat. At least, they wished to find some way of knowing when she was coming, so they might have time to run away. Indeed, something had to be done, for they lived in such constant fear of her claws that they hardly dared stir from their dens by night or day.
Many plans were discussed, but none of these was thought good enough. At last, a very young Mouse got up and said:
“I have a plan that seems very simple, but I know it will be successful. All we have to do is to hang a bell about the Cat’s neck. When we hear the bell ringing, we will know immediately that our enemy is coming.”
All the Mice were much surprised that they had not thought of such a plan before. But in the midst of rejoicing over their good fortune, an old Mouse rose and said:
“I will say that the plan of the young Mouse is very good. But let me ask one question, who will bell the Cat?”
